Segment restricted to a range of accounts?

Hi,

This is my first post. I have a 4 segment string and wondering if there is a way to restrict segment 2 to only be linked to a range of account numbers?

    Welcome to Dynamics GP Community,

    Actually, this is not a default out of the box feature in Dynamics GP, as you can simply create an account consisting of several segments with logical combination, the system doesn't apply rules or limitation on the combination of accounts.

    I do believe this feature could be covered in the Advanced General Ledger (AGL) by M4 Systems.

    Besides account level security and the Excel import validation check into GP, would there be any other features for account string security?
