Hello,

we closed some bank accounts last year. how do i remove it so they don't show up on the dropdown bank account list when we are in payment journal? Deleting is not allowed because there were transactions posted to it before. we are ok to keep them on the bank account but just want to remove them from the drop down

Not possible out of the box. You can simply add Z or ZZ or ZZZ in front of the bank account no. so they sit at the bottom of the list and you know they're inactive.

Instead, just change the bank account status to blocked, this would prevent any inconsistencies in the data and also stop showing it up on lookups for upcoming entries and prevent its usage.

Set the Bank Account to blocked.

Add "Not Used" to Bank Name.

After that, rename your bank account with prefix Z_ so it will be at the bottom of your list.

FIY - setting it to blocked doesn't stop the bank account from showing up on on lookup pages.
