Manual item choosing for Sales order work processing

Hi.

For Sales picking i am trying to make setup that user can scan work id and pick any item that is included within specific work id. Has anyone have ever created such option by customizing or maybe there is out of box solution?

Right now user directed and other "Directed by" field in the Mobile device menu items suggest specific item to scan and if i want to scan other item, then i need to press skip button to be able to scan the next one.

The problem is that our client has 100+ items in one work and they want to be able to pick randomly any item that is within the work created, otherwise, they sometimes have to press 90 times "skip" button until they get the item on the screen that they want to pick.

Therefore, we would like to scan work id on the wms app and be able to pick any item, which is included in this specific Sales work.

Look forward hearing from you.

B.R.,

Eduards

Every time I see this request from a client, I realize there is an underlying issue with the clients picking process.    The short answer is, no, not without a modification.

The warehouse management solution is designed to have the system do the logic, not the warehouse worker.  Rather, instead of 1 WORK with 100 lines on it, there should be say 5 WORK  for 20 lines each broken out by zone or some maximum that can go on a pallet / cart, etc. that follow a pick path thru the warehouse, then consolidated in a staging location.   Maybe you already know this and have told the client, but it's really a process issue not a software issue.
