Adding Product ID column to "Opportunity Product Inline Edit View"

Can anyone help me out with this puzzle?

I need to add the 'Product ID' column to the "Opportunity Product Inline Edit View" that is present in sub-grid on the Opportunity Main Form.

I understand that the "Opportunity Product Inline Edit View" cannot be edited and can only be copied, so I have created a copy and added the 'Product ID (Existing Product)' column.

I have then swapped the Default View for the Sub-Grid on the Main Form to this new view.

At first glance this appears to work, with all the fields populating with the correct information. But we've lost some key functionality. No longer can we click the + button above the grid and choose 'Existing Product', and no longer can we edit the items inline...

I also tried turning on the 'Editable Grid' control for this Sub-Grid but that is over-wrtten by the fact that the form is 'Read-only'... again I wasn't sure where/if this could be changed.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

Thank Wei, so is there absolutely no work-around for showing the Product ID as an extra column on the Opportunity Product Inline Edit View?

    Hi,

this view is not for customize.

however, if you wish to show mode information, maybe you can develop a html to show more information.
