Cannot Delete Component (Dependency Loop)

Hi,

I appear to be stuck in a loop where I can't delete an entity because of dependent components. However, I also can't delete the dependent components because they rely on each other.

When I try and delete the custom entity "Attendees" I get an error saying there are two dependencies:

1. Entity relationship with another custom entity "Event Subscriptions".

2. Site Map.

When I then go to remove the relationship with "Event Subscriptions" I get an error saying that this is dependent on the "Event Subscription" Form.

I can't remove the form.

So how do I go about deleting the entity?

    Hi JD,

Is there any lookup field in Event Subscription(relationship with attendees) Form?

If there remove it and after delete the relationship

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    R.Rajkumar

I have tried deleting it, but it comes back and says the Attendee Form is now dependent on that field. I can't figure out why that would be the case

I think I've figured it out. I forgot I had put a sub grid on the form at the bottom that must have been drawing data from Attendees. The field has now been deleted so I'm going to see now if I can follow the path and delete everything.

RE: Cannot Delete Component (Dependency Loop)

I know this is an old thread but I hope someone is still monitoring this as I have a similar issue on my hands. Someone wanted me to try to tie the competitor entity to the account entity. I started by creating an N:N relationship between the two which was fine. Then I tried adding a subgrid to the main accounts form. That worked but all it did was give me a list of all of the competitors in the system. So, I deleted the subgrid from the form and it's now gone. However, when I try to delete the N:N relationship between accounts and competitors I can't because it says the form is still dependent on that relationship - even though there are no fields (that I can see) that are trying to reference that relationship. Any thoughts?
