Hello,

I am trying to create a workflow that would send an email at a certain time each afternoon with a report. The issue I'm having is how to set up a workflow that is just automatically activated at a certain time daily, as well as how to automatically generate a specific report and insert it into an email. Any help or direction is appreciated!

Hi Jean,

As you are using CRM Online, you won't be able to Schedule your Report because the Report Server is not exposed.

However, On Premise users, they can access the SSRS Reports features to schedule their report. example below

Hello,

You can write develop a custom workflow and design html report and place it in workflow. you can send email with this report automatically client based on timeframe.

you can utilize timeout to send report. We have done this for one of CRM online client to send daily sales report.

Hi Mahendar,

We are also looking to do this for an Online CRM Client. They are looking for a weekly sales report to be automatically sent to them. An onpremise client I can do this with a custom workflow, because I can access the Report Server using C#/.NET.

How did you guys accomplish this using CRM Online?

We created a kind of html report with all the report details and placed in email body. but if you want you can also send your report as attachment if reports are available in CRM, check this post: xrmmatrix.blogspot.in/.../creating-report-as-pdf-attachment-in.html

Hi Jean,

Microsoft has introduced Word Document Templates, instead of a report you can design and use Word Document as an attachment in an email by using Click2Export add-on and automate your process.

May I ask how you are sending these auto reports? I set up a report and used the subscribe option but the end by email is not an option. I only have file share.
