how to create scheduled process in crm?

Hello, I'd like to create a scheduled process in CRM, to run every 12 hours. I did some googling, and people seem to be taking some different approaches.

What's the simplest and most straightforward way to implement this in CRM? I've created a basic process with the following condition:

Process Timeout Equals 12 Hours

The associated Step is a reference to an associated custom workflow class. Will this approach accomplish what I'm trying to achieve? Or is additional configuration required to make this process run as a scheduled job every 12 hours?

CRM does not have a concept of scheduled task, so what do you want to solve?

If you are on-premise you can develop a Windows Scheduled Task that can trigger it for you and then go from there.

Hi Axiom - I went to Windows Task Scheduler but it only seems to provide a daily level of granularity (not hourly, which is what I need).

Also, a task scheduled in this way should start a program or run a script.  So what program or script could I run from WTS to trigger an on-demand process in CRM?

Please refer below URL for execution workflow programmatically

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg309600.aspx

Create a console application for you functionality,

Since you have verified WTS run once in day, so you can create 2 WTS and point them to same .exe generated from console application (12 hrs gap in between).

    Hope it help.

    Thanks,
