I am facing an issue with Send Remittance Advice in Business Central and wanted to check if anyone has seen the same behavior.
Issue
I have two reports being used for remittance advice:
- 10083
- 11383 (Word layout)
When I use 10083, the remittance is working correctly and it is showing the entries as applied.
But when I use 11383, it is not working properly. Even though the payment journal line is correctly applied, the report is still showing the entries as unapplied.
What I have checked
- The payment journal lines are properly applied.
- The same process works correctly with 10083.
- The issue happens specifically with 11383.
- I also tried creating/uploading a custom report layout, but it gave an error saying the layout is not compatible.
- I also tried using the built-in/default layout, but the same issue still happens.
- The same functionality is working in another environment, but not in the main environment where it is actually needed.
What I want to understand
- Could the Word layout or built-in file be corrupted in that environment? if yes then how to get it resolved?
- If the default layout itself is behaving incorrectly, what should be checked next?
- Has anyone found a proper resolution for this issue?
If anyone has faced this before or knows what setup / object / report issue could cause this, please help.
