Smart List discrepancy

I created a account transaction smart list and a GJ entry appears twice in the smart list but only once when I print a detail trial balance. How can I get these two reports to agree? Thanks, Scott

    Does this happen to be a transaction that was posted to a prior year after it was already closed?

    When you export it is it coming 2 lines or just one.

    It was not a transaction posted in a previous year. There was problem with the initial posting and I had to use the batch recovery routine, which appeared to work with the entry posting properly.

    It is exported as 2 lines for each item on the entry.

    Scott,

    I wonder if because of the posting issue your entry is in both the posted and unposted tables at the same time. Can you add a Document Status column to the SmartList and let us know what the results are in that column?

    For one entry the status is open and the other's status is work.

    Scott,

    That's what I suspected. Most likely you need to delete the duplicate lines in the Work tables directly in SQL. You can try running Check Links on the Financial series, but this type of issue will not typically be cleared up by Check Links.

    I am not a big fan of advising fixes directly in the SQL tables without seeing the data. I would recommend working with your GP Partner or Microsoft Support to clean this up to make sure it gets done properly and does not cause any future issues.

    I tried the check links when I 1st became aware of the issue and it did not fix it. I'll get in touch with our GP partner. Thanks for your help.
