Single or Bulk SMS options in CRM 2016

Hello,

Can you please help me with information on whether I can send single or bulk sms from CRM. I am trying to research on this however I came across one article that says Microsoft has discontinued SMS service for CRM. Some articles say that it is now a part of Microsoft Dynamics Marketing. However I am unable to find any detailed information. What are my options to shoot SMS to customers from CRM. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

There is no out of the box feature in Dynamics CRM to send SMS, but you can do custom development to implement your requirements, but this feature is available on Dynamics Marketing, so if you want to have this features in CRM you can buy some addon or do development.

Thank you. I am looking for more and detailed information. Even if it can be done via Microsoft Dynamics Marketing then how? There should be some articles published by Microsoft on this. However none of the articles are opening. As I mentioned above all links are being redirected to a generic Get-Started link. I am confident this can be done either OOB or through customization of CRM, without buying a third party addon. And I am ok with paying to mobile network provider for the shortcode and SMS charges.

I hope you are aware of Microsoft Dynamics Marketing is out of market now, AFAIK no more sales after Dynamics 365 released, so if you have already Dynamics Marketing product use to your SMS requirement (this should help you https://youtu.be/1oTMSb7QbxE)

The best approach would be to fetch or export the data from CRM and send your messages via SMS Gateway (recommending TelQ Telecom in this case due to good quality). You can either integrate via API or send your campaign via user interface without any integration needed.
