Good day,

I'm looking into the ability to automate a data dump from D365 Dynamics, currently used as a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system), for further specific downstream analysis. I imagine you can download manually data to excel format (*.csv in particular) but can this process be automated on a schedule (i.e. daily dump of a report into a given folder)? If not an inherent feature, is there API programming that could do the job?

It is possible to automate data dump from D365 Dynamics, the process can be done either by using the built-in data export feature or by using the Dynamics 365 Web API. The built-in data export feature is an inherent feature while the Web API approach requires knowledge of programming languages and need to have the necessary permissions.
