Retiring Fixed Asset in GP 2010

I have retired several fixed assets in the module; however afterwards I am not getting any indication  (FA transaction number) that a transaction has been completed to remove the asset from the class ID and reduce the accumulated depreciation associated with it. There is no transaction to post to the G/L.

Can someone help??

Thanks

Did you run the GL Postings for this Asset in GL Posting (Financial/Routines/Fixed Assets/GL Posting?

Yes, and when I printed the report it was blank.

In the GL Posting screen, does the list at the bottom populate when you insert one of the retired assets and hit process?

I figured it out! I viewed the financial detail under several of the retired assets and noticed that the FA periods were 2012-12 for half and 2016-09 for the other half. I had to make the beginning and ending period in the fixed asset general ledger posting screen 2015-012 to 2015-012 and used a 2016 posting date to retire one half of the assets. The other half will create an entry once I get to September 2016.

    Thanks!
