CRM Online Access in Dubai (UAE)

Hi, we are a CRM Silver Partner in the US.  We have a demo CRM Online instance set up, and we are trying to provide access to a prospect in the UAE.  The prospect states he cannot access the site.  He has tried multiple browsers, added ".crm.dynamics.com" to trusted sites, all with no luck.  He states he just gets a blank screen.  However, I am able to successfully log in with the same username/password provided to the prospect.  I assume the CRM Online site is set up in North America.  Can someone from the UAE access this site just like anyone in North America?  Is there something special I should set?  Thanks!

Yes, UAE was added last year for CRM Online.  However, you might have to walk them through signing up for their own trial, since they would not be using the NA datacenters for their CRM instance, and that might be affecting their ability to log into your trial.

Let me clarify one thing...  Our instance of CRM Online is really not a trial.  It's a "permanent" instance that we have, but we use it as a demo site for an industry-specific solution we developed.  We typically give prospects access through a locked-down demo user account, and it works fine.  But in this case, this prospect from UAE cannot access.

They keep asking us for the solution so they can import and demo in their on-premise environment.  Honestly, this makes me nervous.  We only have a hotmail email address for this prospect.  We could help them set up their own trial and import the solution into the trial, but honestly, this makes me nervous too.  Any thoughts?  I just want to be protective of our IP.

    Thanks to all.

If that were the situation, I'd set up a WebEx and walk them through the demo environment.  If they ask for the solution, let them know that's extra effort you aren't prepared to take without deeper engagement.

If they balk at that, your concerns are likely valid.

The client/prospect reports they solved the problem from their end.  Not sure of the resolution, but they are able to now access this CRM Trial.  Many  thanks!
