    Hi Bob,

You would find this under Settings-->Customization-->Customize the System, and select the Opportunity Entity.  Under Fields you will find the Status Reason field.  Open that up and down below you can select the Status of Lost and change the reasons that go with that status.

Thanks Gretchen.  That was what I needed!

So I have the same question, but my setup is slightly different. I found the "Status Reason" field under the Entity "Opportunity Close" - which makes sense. Maybe it's an change since the upgrade.

However, even as an admin - everything is grayed out. I can't choose which type of Status to edit. I can add new Values to 'Open' status and that's it.

    Anyone else have this issue?

HoustonBrooke - the status reasons shown in the Opportunity Close dialog reflect those that you configure for the Opportunity entity. You need to change them on Opportunity as Gretchen showed. There is no change to this behaviour since at least CRM 4.0 through 2013

I'm with you Brooke.  I do not see the values you and I see, such as "Project Canceled", "Technology", etc.  In fact, I changed my status code reason directly in the opportunity page and it changed it in the "opportunity page" not the pop-up dialog you get when selecting "Close as Lost" button in the ribbon.

I've got a follow up question...After closing the opportunity as lost and selecting the status reason on the opportunity close form, I am unable to see the lost reason that was selected on the auto-post on the opportunity's timeline. Any ideas?

I think you won't see the Status Reason on the timeline because it's not part of the Opportunity Close activity, it's the Status Reason of the Opportunity that you're setting when you select that.
