Hi Michel,
There are 3 types of security in Dynamics CRM:
Role-based security is designed to provide specific sets of privileges to a user in CRM. For example, if you want all users with the security role of 'Sales Manager' to have read access to all Account records, while all users with the security role of 'Salesperson' to have read access to only Accounts that they own, you can use role-based security to accomplish this.
Record-based security is designed to allow/restrict access to specific records in CRM for users. For example, if you want certain users to not see any Opportunity records, you can use record-based security to restrict these users from seeing any Opportunity records.
Field-level security is designed to allow/restrict access to specific fields on an entity in CRM. For example, if you want only certain users to see a specific field on an entity (say SSN on an Account record), you can use field-level security to hide/display that field based on users.
Hope that helps,
John
Your question is too broad to answer it here.
Dynamics CRM Security is multi dimensional It involves
Business Unit
Principals (users and teams)
Security Role
Field Level Security
etc...
What you get on web site is subset of big picture, I believe the answer to this question is good book. There are so many 2011 books this is specifically for security Dive deep into the Dynamics CRM 2011 security
