Hello All,

For some reason I am getting Load getting created for back order sales order lines with "0" quantity in the Work Created field in the load as depicted below. This stops the work from getting created. I have to delete this erroneous load for the work to get created. Not sure why this is happening. Can someone please help? This is a critical problem that I need to solve ASAP.

Also, wanted to say that we are using auto release of warehouse. But I tried using manual too and am not seeing any work getting generated,

    Hi,
Just to clarify, the back order is for a quantity of 1. The Load is released to warehouse and no work is being created?

    Things to check:
    1. If you have access, go to Warehouse Management Parameters, FastTab "Work" and activate the Enable work creation history log toggle (this will help in troubleshooting if no work created).

    2. Go to sales order line > Inventory . Reservation. Is there any reservation? If no, is there available inventory to reserve?
    • If so, make sure to reserve.
    • If no, that is the issue
    3. From Sales Order line, click on Warehouse>Shipment and delete any existing shipment

    4. From Sales Order ribbon menu, click on release to warehouse.  Was work created?
    • If yes: good, issue was likely reservation.
    • If no: check the Work Creation History Log
     5. If the item is reserved but no work is created, the issue is likely with a constraint on Location Directives that make it so that the system ignores the inventory that is reserved.  The Work Creation History Log should give you a good clue.
