Can't receiving and update inventory on some items?

I can't receive and update the inventory on some items from the PO. I also can't print labels for these items.  I error message I get is "Unable to bind all of the item's general properties to the controls.

I open the detail tab and the following is listed. "The argument 'this.Item.CategoryID' passed to the method 'Microsoft.Rms.BaseServices.Instrumentation.ArgumentValidation.CheckCondition(...)' is out of the acceptable range - ''. Parameter name: this.Item.CategoryID
Actual value was -1.

How do I fix this error?

Thanks

Terry

    Hi Terry,

Have you checked over your Category IDs? There may be a Category ID with a negative value that is causing the error.

    Hi Ken,

If I open the matrix tab of the item, all the items in this matrix have a -1 category ID. How do I change the category ID? If I select the magifying glass in the category column, POS restart.

    Thanks

    Terry

Just a reminder guy/gals.  This is a POS2009 question, not RMS!
