GP4 - Sales Entry error message

Unique situation -

Client is using GP4.0 on a windows98 machine.

He's got a problem - whenever trying to save an item onto an invoice - he gets this message:

"A save operation on table 'SOP_Distribution_WORK_HIST' could not find a record." The program is not finding the distribution accounts, and will not complete the operation.

Basically - he's setup to use customer accounts. Normally everything works fine - all customers have accounts - however - when he clicks the distribution button - accounts are missing and he can't manually enter - he gets same message and his entry goes away.........

Another problem - his windows98 machine doesn't seem to be compatible with any kind of modern remote support session software - such go to meeting, mikago, etc.

Any guidance/thougths would be appreciated........

Ah, version 4 - so many memories! It should still work on Go To My PC.. As for the other problem, first I run Checklinks and reconcile as a matter of course. After that doesn't work, check posting permissions to make sure the user is allowed to do that. As an additional code check, transact the same entry using the 'sa' user.

When did this start? Is it all companies? Workstations? Users? From the server consol and/or the workstation?
