HI,

We have a customer requirement to hide Sub-Areas like services, Marketing etc and Advance find buttons for specific users. The Best way we can achieve this by doing a generic configuration?

I dont think you can hide advance find thats kind of basic system feature.

But you can hide the Sub areas you mentioned by disabling these site map areas.

You could use the XrmToolBox sitemap editor tool

Once you made the change, you will have to click Update Sitemap

    Hope this helps

You can add a Privilege element to a SubArea, so that users will only see the SubArea if they have that privilege. Note that a SubArea is the lowest level in the SiteMap; from your post I think you are referring to Groups or Areas; these don't support the Privilege element directly, but will be hidden if all SubAreas within it are hidden.

There's no supported way to hide the Advanced Find button, though it is possible to stop people using it by hiding the 'Results' button, if that's useful - see http://www.crmquadrant.com/2018/05/08/restrict-advanced-find-functionality-for-end-business-users/
