Restrict user to be able to view only downloaded reports

Hello Everyone!

I have a question as in topic - basically, how to restrict user from accesing CRM entities.

What I want to achieve is to send ready xls reports to our company Users, but they should be able only to refresh them.

When they would try to access CRM, they should have blocked acess or just have all the entities hidden. Is such functionality even possible?

Best regards,

Regarding the users, you should be able to set them as non-interactive users and then their user accounts is not a login account. They will be able to access the data of dynamics, but not the application. Non-interactive users do not consume a license.

Regarding the Excel report, since you are On-Premise, you can create your reports in Excel by connecting to the database directly and using Filtered Views. This depends somewhat on the type of reports you are creating, but there are other options.

You might also consider Power BI reports.

    Hope this helps.
