BC 14 Communication with the server failed, and the content cannot be displayed - with custom binding

Hello,

Ive installed BC 14 update 09 recently, server on one macine, clients on the other.

When Im accessing webserver on the server machine through default localhost:8080/BC140 everything works fine.

When trying to access through added binding for the site domainname/BC140 I'm receiving error given in the title, it finds the site but I'm getting Communication with the server failed, and the content cannot be displayed, with restart button.

How to make server accessible through custom bindings?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your PC is unable to resolve the host address. Maybe you can update the hosts file and add an entry there.

This does not sound like it's a Dynamics 365 Business Central issue but more of an IIS/DNS issue.
