We are working on an extension for app source and are using our assigned range that Microsoft gave us. When we go to deploy, we get an errors about "PTE0001" and our object should be in range 50,000 - 99,999. Any ideas?
In your settings.json , you can remove PerTenantExtensionCop Analyzer since you are developing for appSource :
We do not have PTE in our settings.json. Here is what it looks like..
can you pls clarify how and where you are deploying. are you trying to upload you extension in BC SaaS Environment.??
We were trying to manually upload our .app file to BC SaaS. Here is a screen shot
What you did is deploying for Per Tenant Extension. For testing and develop your appsource extension i think you need to use onprem/docker version with license which has right to your ID range loaded to it.
Once it has been fully tested and you have completed the check list :
docs.microsoft.com/.../devenv-checklist-submission
you need to submit .app , once approved then your customer can install it from the appsource marketplace.
Our app has been tested and works fine. We just cannot upload the extension manually. Are you saying it won't be possible to manually upload the app file to a customer? We have a customer that is ready to use it.
Yes, if you are creating extension for appsource , it need to install from appsource.microsoft.com/. Upload manually considered as Per Tenant Extension , in this case you will need to change the object ID to 50.000 - 99.999 range.
Ok, great. We are in good shape then. The last thing we need is this - docs.microsoft.com/.../devenv-extension-advanced-example
Have you submitted an app to the store before? If so, how in depth do we need to go for the example above? Can you send me an email? ryandmcbee@gmail.com
as per the instruction from "I Gusti Made Ari Permadi" you should not upload manually that app has 3mil or 7mil number series, where you can publish this app in onprem / docker version of BC
note : before publishing app to appsource you should not upload your app to BC SaaS, since it will consider app as PTE - Per Tenant Extension and store app id in appsource instance. then while submitting your app to app source, you will end up error saying the app id already in use while going through Technical validation.
Go to https://aka.ms/readytogo and read about the AppSource submission process. There is a section about the validation process underneath there, and you need to complete the marketing checklist as well as the technical checklist BEFORE submitting your app for validation.
