Hi all,
in my customer project I have the requirement to Generate Barcodes for Productmaster with Product dimension Configuration - Configuration technology is Predifined
I studied the blog from Rahul Mota https://community.dynamics.com/ax/b/happyd365fo/posts/auto-barcode-generation-from-number-sequence-in-microsoft-dynamics-365-finance-and-operations
I did the Barcodes setup in the Retail an Commerce module - however the product dimension "configuration" dose not exist in the lookup
As seen in the screenshot only "Product" and product dimensions "Size, Color, Style" are available - however I finished all the setup as Rahul described - Then I tested it in the Contoso Demo data company account USMF for Item L0025 which has exactly 4 variants - Configuration 01, 02, 03 and 04 - then I released this item and the variants to company account DEMF - in DEMF I set up exactly the same Bar code setup
Now back in USMF on item L0025 in released products Tab Manage inventory Button Bar codes
First try I us the Button "Create bar codes from number sequence" - result
Everything looks fine - now I want exactly the same Barcodes for Item L0025 and its configurations in company account DEMF - therefore I hit the Button "Create/Update bar codes" and set the Radio Button "Create bar codes in all legal entities where this product is released"
Now the system created a new barcode in USMF for configuration 01
Having a look at the messages i see following entries
First the details for DEMF
Second for USMF
Now having a look to company account demf for Item L0025 and Barcodes in released product
That's really strange - any clue how i get the correct results? Do i miss any setup?
Every answer/suggestion is welcome
