Potentially disabling the ‘Multicurrency Management’ module

We are interested in potentially disabling the ‘Multicurrency Management’ module, as we have no transactions of any kind (GL, SOP, POP, etc.) which use anything other than our functional currency (USD).

Is this something that I can simply un-check while logged-in as SA with everyone else out of the system one evening?  What potential effects should we anticipate with this change?

    Multicurrency wasn’t something we ever used, nor anything we ever intended to use.  Honestly, I’m not sure why it was ever enabled to begin with!

     

    When it talks about losing the Item Class, Item Currency, and Item Price List currency-data, is it talking about only those currencies which no longer are in-use once the company gets set to Single-Currency mode… or would it essentially wipe those tables entirely, even for the currency we are keeping & setting as the Functional/Only currency (USD)?
