Create a view to show all accounts owned by team or team members

I am using the latest CRM online.  I have a team with two members.  Currently they can go to My Active Accounts and see accounts owned by themselves or their team.

I have a separate view that allows them to see accounts owned by their team members.  Is there a way to combine these two views into one?

What I'm going for is:

Adam and Bob are on the Miami Team.

If Adam goes to My Active Accounts he sees accounts owned by Adam and Miami

If he goes to Accounts owned by Team Members he sees accounts owned by Bob.

I want him to be able to see all of Adam, Bob, and Miami's accounts in one view.

The easiest way to get there is to use advanced find to to create the view showing customers for all of the users (Adam, Bob, Miami Team) you listed.  Saved the advanced find as a view than share or assign the view with the other users.

Yeah, thanks Sytek, but I don't want to make a view for each team.  I also don't want to change it every time a new team member comes aboard or leaves, or when territories get reassigned.

Is there a way to combine the two views I already have?

As far as I know there is not a way to tie to view together unless you are creating a dashboard.   Let me make sure I understand something; Bob and Adam = Miami Team?  Does Miami own accounts? Are you using territories?

Yes, Bob and Adam = Miami Team.  There are accounts owned by Bob, accounts owned by Adam and accounts owned by Miami.

Yes, we are using territories, but there again, the only way to create a view for that is to make a separate one for each territory.

We already have dashboards, but those are based on the default view of "My Active Accounts (or "my" whatever).  Ultimately once I get all this working, I want to make my new combined view default for the whole company.

    Hi TODDVJ,

I recommend you to do this via advanced find, combined query, save it and use it as a view. So you can share the view and this should fullfil the requirements.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Yes, you can

Go to Advanced find-> Look for Accounts-Select Active Accounts-from Used Saved Views-Save AS -New name you want to give-> Go to Details button on Ribbon- Select Owner- eauals to-"Names you want to select from list" (Adam, Bob, Miami Team) and Save-> Check the Results and let me know?

    Thanks

No, that doesn't help.  Here is how I did the "Accounts Owned By Team Members" query.  If I could combine this entire query with one saying "or owner = current user or  user's teams" I would have the results I wanted.  No matter what I do, I either get no results or just the results of Accounts Owned by Team Members.

CRM_USER2013, I don't want to be that specific.  I want something that will work for every team, not just Adam Bob and Miami.

In other words, I want the same query to work for Charlie, David and Kansas.

    Hi TODDVJ,

unfortunately it is not possible to create such generic view. We suggest you to use the previously from us and the other users recommended approach to do for the specific teams.

Thanks for your understanding and for using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Communities.
