Hi,

I want to change the header in the main Account form but it is locked.

There are two copys of "Account primary contact" as well as other information that should be changed for us.  Is there way to unlock the header?

Thanks for any help,

Have you clicked on Form after clicking on Customize and then click on Header in the Ribbon Bar? That makes it editable

    Hmm,

Oh for crying out loud, it's the title "header" itself that is not editable.  The fields are.

    Thank You.

The account header is locked for me. The 'Lock...' checkbox is disabled. Are there any other reasons for this?

The section is locked on the form. That means you can't remove it, but does not mean you cannot modify the content of it. The information text is misleading here.

If you don't want anything to show up in the header, remove all the fields from it and it will be effectively invisible (true on 2011 and 2013, although on 2013 the same space is reserved on screen for this since the record name shows up in the same vertical space).

Thanks Adam. I am trying to add a Quick View Form to the header, one that only includes a single field. Sort of a readout of a related Entity's field.  I attributed the fact that the INSERT > Quick View Form control was disabled, to the fact that the section was locked. Mistakenly I suppose... is there some other available configuration that could enable this?

I am new to CRM and we are using CRM 2013 but I get a message stating "The field you are trying to remove is required by the system or business."  I would like to move this required field out of the Header and down into the body.  I would also like to change the header from four columns to three columns.  Neither items I can do.
