Support for Migrating Change Log Table from NAV/BC On-Prem to Business Central Online

During the migration process from Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central On-Premises to Business Central Online, it appears that the Change Log table is not included in the standard data migration. This table is critical for tracking historical changes to data and is often used for auditing and compliance purposes.

Currently, there seems to be no out-of-the-box Microsoft tool or supported method to migrate this data. This creates a gap for businesses that rely on change tracking and need to retain historical logs after moving to the cloud.

Request:
Is there an existing Microsoft-supported tool, extension, or workaround that allows the migration of the Change Log table?
If not, can Microsoft consider providing a utility or guidance to support this migration in future updates?

Please suggest and thanks in advance.

Although I personally do not recommend importing the Change Log table into a new system. If all you need is this one extra table, customizing a simple tool is quick.

Hii There, as per requirement some of System tables are not used for migrate data in that change log is also included, because data it contain can contain a lot of space, so for improve performance Its Not migrate data like user table,

so If You want to migrate that data also create a now table and transfer data , and after that You can use migration or Config package, but also in the upgrade Business central environment Change log table will contain New records , so if its not much important avoid It.

    Thank You,
    Kamal Khakhkhar.

There’s no Microsoft-supported tool to migrate the Change Log to BC Online. You can export it manually or build a custom extension for archiving. For compliance, store it externally (e.g., Excel, Power BI). Suggest logging it on BC Ideas.
