AA distribution out of balance

A client has just pointed out to me that now that they have AA installed,if they are entering an AP voucher and key in unequal distributions they are no longer getting the following message when they click Ok on the distributions window.

The message was:  The following errors were found while validating distributions:

Distirbutions for this transaction contain errors.

The purchase distributions does not equal the actual amount.

The debit distributions do not equal the credit distributions.

They now get nothing when they click on OK. but do get a message when trying to save the document that the distributions are incorrect.

I have tested on a client with AA and get the same thing.  Also tested a client with no AA and it does the above correctly.  Why is AA different and how can we get it back to behave with the message showing on the OK button even with AA installed.  It is very cubmersome to have to go back into the distributions tab and a little disconcerting.

Thanks in advance.

We've experienced the same behaviour as described above.

I realize this is an old post, but does anyone have an idea why this is happening, and if there is a solution?

    Hi,

I am on GP2013 (SP2), In this version it seems to be working fine. I am getting a error log informing about the errors. To be precise we are getting below errors.

Distributions for this transaction contain errors.

The purchases distribution(s) does not equal the actual amount.

The debit distributions do not equal the credit distributions.

Could you please let me know on which version you are facing this problem.

    Regards,

    Santosh

    We're experiencing this on GP 2010 SP4, and GP 2010 SP2.

    You could use the script in the reference below to check your AA balance, check it against GL balance;

General Ledger Journals with Analytical Accounting Details –SQL Script

If I remember correctly, our partner opened a ticket with MS, and they determined the behavior to be a bug. We are currently living with it as is.
