Hi,

Why is it not possible to change expiration date for a Lot at different locations?
I change the expiration date through the item reclass. journal.
I have the same question (0)

If I remember correctly, an item reclassification journal is a journal type in D365 Business Central?
Wanted to make sure, because this is the D365 SCM forum.

The expiry date in D365 SCM is on the batch number, and should be changed there.

    Hi,

I have already read that thread and that doesn't answer my question.
I know a workaround to put the Lot at same location and the set a new expiration date and then put i back to it's original location but this takes time.

Unfortunately, this is a limitation of the Item Reclassification Journals. It doesn't allow you to change the expiration date for lots in different locations or bins. The only solution is a workaround, like the one you're currently using. Another option is to change both the expiration date and lot number at the same time, and then revert the lot number afterward. Or instead of changing the expiration date, do a negative adjustment to take the lot out of inventory and then a positive adjustment with the correct expiration date. However, all methods are time-consuming.

You cannot do this directly but you can create a report to update it, which should update all the item ledger entries, reservation entries, warehouse entries and item tracking.  This can be done using some development.

    Thanks
