Is there any innate functionality in BC that allows you to "mark" a Sales Order as ready to ship or complete? (complete meaning all line items have been produced)
There are different ways to handle this depending the setup in BC.
Strictly speaking, when you use warehousing in BC, you don't really ship a sales order.
You ship lines from a warehouse shipment.
That's why the "status" that allows you to see if all the lines of an order have been handled is in this document:
When a warehouse shipment is completely picked, you can ship the order lines.
Hi, or you can go to Sales Lines page, fitler Outstanding Quantity <> 0.
But this would be a case of one order, multiple lines. You can use Open in Excel feature to export it, then create a simple Pivot Table in Excel.
While this may be a bit complicated, it does not require customization.
Hope this helps as well.
Thanks.

The status is the indicator and I’d say having reservations is the way to signal you’re ready for that. Completed items i.e. in stock as item ledger entries
I can think of two ways to do that.
The one is the sales order status that you can change from open to released.
You can also use the qty to ship on the sales line in a way so you know when all sales lines have a qty to ship then you know the sales order is ready.
Personally i think i would prefer to use the status. But i have implemented both solutions several places.
