Setting up user access to companies

I've set up a new user and now I'm trying to assign the companies that she has access to.  Unfortunately the blocks next to the companies are greyed out and I can't click on them to select.  I'm logged in under the administrator.  What do I do?

You need to be logged in as 'sa'.  Only 'sa' or another user that has SQL admin rights can grant/remove access to companies.

When it comes to user security, even DYNSA (Dynamics GP Administrator) user has limitations compared with the "sa". I have once witnessed an interesting case in which even DYNSA doesn't have access.

For user access specifically, "DYNSA" and "sa" should work just fine. I have read about a very rare case which is having "greyed" user access check boxes, It is related to having DYNSA user specifically not the "sa". You may refer to this link for further details Resolved: Dynamics GP user access window checkboxes grayed for DYNSA with securityadmin SQL Server role

Assign the company access (Tools-->Setup-->System-->User Access) to the users with using the login id(sa) when was used to setup the new user.

    Hope this helps!!

I was logged in as DYNSA.  I'll try 'sa'.  Thanks for the help!
