Workflow gets triggered twice

We have a Parent and Child workflow which are triggered when a field called Project Status of Opportunity is equal to Bidding or Awarded.
This workflow will then create some tasks automatically which will be assigned to the opportunity owner.
We do use a flag filed called "Awarded Activities Generated" and "Bidding Activities Generated" which is used inside the if condition of the Parent workflow to check that activities are already generated or not.
Also after the execution of the Child workflow the flags are set to 'Yes'.
However while checking from the Opportunity, I can see that both the Parent and Child workflows are getting triggered twice.
I checked from the Audit History and confirmed that the flag fields are not moving back to No which might enable the condition for the workflow trigger.

    This can happen when there is some plugin updating the same triggering field, check if you have put columnset = true or retriving this field in plugin for some logic. This is the general case.

    Hi Sameera,

    I had a similar issue and spent 2 solid days trying to work it out.... the reason seems to actually be that if you have more than one Tab open when the Workflow fires it fires for both Tabs!

    I tested the theory by running the workflow with a single tab open and then multiple tabs open, and if it is the same browser session it then causes the fire to happen twice!

    Hi Surmeet

    i am still getting the same issue

    i have some plugins and Email workflows on a field update

    the Email workflows getting triggered twice i am not updating the trigger field at any place just

    retrieving fields other than the one  

    what can i do more

    I am getting the same issue. I have a workflow that gets triggered twice. I tried deleting the second trigger but that didn't work. I also tried deleting the workflow, but that didn't work either. The only way to get rid of it was to delete the email template and then recreate it. Well, now I have to visit https://sopwritingservices.net/ website to get help in my research paper so that I could complete it timely.
