Mandatory dimension dependent on another dimension

Dear Forum Community,
I have a dimension /Project/. When the dimension /Project/ has the dimension value 0815 selected, I want it to be required to select a dimension value for the dimension /Split/ as well.
Is something like this out of the box possible?

That depends on your business case. PLease elaborate on that.

Thinking out loud: is this Project dimension linked to an actual Job record?

In that case you might consider a setup as follows:

Set the SPLIT as a MANDATORY dimension on the Job as follows:

upon posting towards the JOB00030 using the Job Journal, it will require the SPLIT.

You can not achieve that as a global setup but you can do it for different data entities as suggested in other answers.

Hi, this feature is not included in the standard. This requires customization.
If it is a restriction that the user is not allowed to select, there is a Dimension Combinations feature.
