Job Cost Overhead Percentage

I know there is a way to calculate a cost factor on a resource to bill a percentage, but is there a way to just add an overhead percentage for cost to a resource on the job?

    Tanya,

    Are you wanting to only record an Overhead factor for say Resource Linda at 10% of Direct Cost or just 10% of x? The former you can setup the Indirect % on the Resource Card but the latter I have never heard of. However, it might be possible in the Jobs Manager APP from Cost Control - costcontrolsoftware.com/.../

    I know it offers flexibility as it relates to overhead processing within Jobs.

    Steve,

    I realized I forgot one bit of important information.  What I really need is to be able to do a percentage by Work Type.  So if I have RT I want an overhead of 5%, OT I want 3% and DT I want 1% does this make sense?

    Yuk! Work Types do not hold the Indirect Percentage factors, just Resource. I would suggest 2 things:

    1. Talk to Cost Control - Job Manager as they might have made this new functionality in the APP

    2. Write an extension to accomplish this but it is not a small task. I can see the Work Type holding an Overhead Percentage to be based on hours, lets say, and that this percentage will be booked when Job Journal/Time is posted on the Work Type for the Overhead and its related GL Account on the Resource GPPG.
