Error message

I am getting this error message when trying to Calculate Depreciation.

FA Add.-Currency Factor must have a value in FA Depreciation Book:  FA No.=FA014131.  It cannot be zero or empty.

This is the first FA to need depreciation calculated is why it's mentioned, I think as there doesn't seem to be any problem with it.

I've looked at the Depreciation Book setup (which hasn't changed in many years), but I don't see that exact wording.  All we ever change is the Integration, which we turn off when we need to post an offline entry.

Any suggestions?

    Hi,

Typically means that the additional currency factor (used for reporting depreciation in a second currency) is missing or not set properly for the fixed asset's depreciation book. This is only relevant if your FA Depreciation Book is set up to use an additional reporting currency (often used for parallel reporting, e.g., local vs. foreign currency).

    Thanks
    Ramesh

    Thank you, Ramesh!

I was able to figure out that I had inadvertently turned on the buttons in the Reporting Section (we don't use the Currency Function) instead of turning on the Integration buttons after posting an offline entry.

Thanks so much for your help!

    Hi, good day
I hope this can help you, and give you some hints.

FA Add.-Currency Factor must have a value in FA Depreciation Book. It cannot be zero or empty.

    Best Regards
    Gerardo
