Connecting to Power BI from BC

Hi Team,
Could I please get some assistance with the issue below?
I’ve followed the articles below to connect to the Power BI App dashboard:
Despite following the steps, I’m unable to connect to any of the Power BI apps. I’ve attempted this multiple times across different apps for finance and others, however the connection times out each time I am able to connect only one or 2 i think.
I do have Power BI Premium, so licensing does not appear to be the issue.
Could you please advise:
  • any prerequisites or permissions that may be missing, or
  • additional troubleshooting steps I should try?

    Hello,

This issue is usually not licensing-related (even with Power BI Premium) but caused by missing permissions or incomplete Business Central–Power BI integration: when some BC Power BI apps connect and others time out, it’s typically because the user lacks SUPER permissions in BC, proper Member/Contributor access to the Power BI workspace, access to all required BC APIs, or has a tenant/user mismatch (guest user, different Azure AD). Also verify Assisted Setup → Set up Power BI is completed in BC, Power BI tenant settings for Business Central and Azure Maps visuals are enabled, and test from the Power BI Service directly or by reinstalling a failing app into a clean workspace. Each app uses different datasets/APIs, so a single missing permission can cause silent timeouts.

Thanks i think that makes sense.

The answer for me lies in Workspaces>update App>permissions> Tick all boxes
