Sales Tax Analysis Report discrepancy

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport

There is a discrepancy in the Sales Tax Analysis report. The Detailed Tax Collected report shows the correct tax amount. This issue has been posted multiple times without a good answer. My accounts experiencing this issue are all on RMS version 2.0.2022 (Latest Update).

The Sales Tax Analysis report is critical because it is used to pay sales and use taxes to the state each month.

Who has the answer?

Is it cents the difference? It may be some rounding off somewhere.

As I can see Sales Tax collected  shows the valid tax codes only and no NON Taxable, where the Analysis shows NON Taxable as well.

Sales Tax Collected uses batches that are closed. There may be some difference if batches not closed everyday.

Analysis can go back 12 months only ( in the one I am using) where Sales Tax Collected can go back more.
