GL transactions data import through macro

Hi,

I'm trying to import GL transactions data through macro and mail merge, it's working fine for single debit and single credit but when it comes to the situation where one debit with multiple credits the macro gets failed. Anyone has ever created macro for this? If yes the please forward me the sample macro file and data file. Regarding the new feature of excel copy paste, it works only for one header document and multiple line items.

Your kind response will be highly appreciated.

Hi Khan,

I use mail merge macros for several things but have never had good results when working with GL Entries. I recommend you take a look at integration manager as it is the tool designed for the task. Since you are GP 2015 you may already be licensed for IM (we got it when we upgraded to GP 2013 but had no idea until I asked out partner about it).

Thank you for your response! Despite having GP 2015 my client is not having license for IM. I have to do this through Macro mail merge only and struggling with this male merge.

If you have GP 2015 you could use the new copy from Excel feature for GL transactions.
