How to change Email Subject

Hi All,

When emailing documents such as invoices, we would like to change the email subject - if possible dynamically based on customer and invoice. Is this possible

Which version are you using?

If it is 17.2 or higher, you can change the subject.

If it’s a prior version then I’d expect a modification by using an event from the report selections table will be sufficient

Hello,

Is there any way to change the default email subject text per document type (invoice, customer statement..) in the GUI?

My client would like to change the email subject for the customer statement. Because it is 'my company name - customer name' by default which is not very handy.

As Josh mentioned for now there is no out of the box function for this. Your options are

1) Development (coding) such as https://dankinsella.blog/developing-with-the-new-enhanced-email-feature/

2) Use 3rd party app such as https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/dynamics-365-business-central/PUBID.tecman%7CAID.clever-doc-delivery%7CPAPPID.5c032249-1bf7-4cab-8543-e39b3c14896e

3) I just submit the idea here. You can vote for it and if it get enough vote Microsoft will implement this. experience.dynamics.com/.../
