Fixed Assets - Cannot create a new Account Group

I am trying to create a new Account Group in Fixed Assets. I receive the message: "This record has been created since your attempt to create it. Changes won't be saved"

It is only happening in one company database, the other databases allow new Account Groups to be created. I have checked the FA41300 table for null or blank values - all look ok

Here's the recommended fix from Microsoft -

The message you are receiving is typical of stuck activity records. I recommend that you follow the steps below.

1. Have all users log out of Dynamics GP
2. In Query Analyzer or SQL Server Management Studio run the following scripts to remove any records that may have been stuck on the temp tables:

Run the following against the company database:
-------------------------------
Delete FAINDEX
Delete FA01500
Delete DYNAMICS..Activity
Delete DYNAMICS..SY00800
Delete DYNAMICS..SY00801
Delete Tempdb..Dex_Session
Delete Tempdb..Dex_Lock

Make sure you back up your company and Dynamics databases before executing these scripts.

Let us know how it goes.

I've looked in the KB's for this issue and haven't found anything. I'm going to post this issue on the Partner forum if that's okay with you.

Yes - same problem, only in one company database - no problems in the others!

My bad Sarah - there is no Check Links for FA. Are you still having the issue?

Thanks Frank. Maybe I am missing something - I do not see any FA tables in Check Links....

I would run Checklinks on the FA master table(s).

No, I have not run Check Links on any table - any suggestions on which? I did run FA-Reconcile on Asset Accounts.

Sarah,

What version are you on? have you tried running Checklinks? Maybe even drop and re-add the table using GP Maintenance. Make sure you backup your database first.
