CC Field in CRM advanced search and SQL Table

We have Dynamics365 v8.2.3 and I'd like to compare the emails received in a mailbox in O365 vs on CRM (server-side sync).

In the advanced find, can see the To Recipients which contains the addresses in the "To" field on the email card. But where is the CC column?

On SQL, In the Activitypointerbase Table, I can see the ToRecipients column only as well. So, when searching emails, those that were cc'd do not appear.

    Hi

To, CC, BCC are party lists, you will have to search via Related Entities.  Only To has a text field with all the to email address called To Recipients and thats why you are able to search in your screenshot

In Related area, select Activity Parties and then select the participation type to search in CC or BCC

    Hi Kokulan,
Thanks for your response. If I understand correctly, I need a text field to search. So, with the Related Activity Parties, is there a way to search for a specific email address? All the options I tried weren't working.

    Hi

You do not need a text field, you can search as shown below

    ScreenClip-_5B00_484_5D00_.png

Note : Only restriction in this approach is that you can only search one activity party type at a time. In the example above, we are searching all the emails that have CC set  contact with the given email address.

Lets say you want to search not just Contacts in CC, you want to search Accounts or Users or other email enabled entities you have to run as separate queries.

    Hello Kokulan,

Thank you for the above solution.

I have similar kind of requirement where I need to have Email Messages which does not contain one particular contact record and one queue record in the To and CC field.

Below is the screenshot of advance find query. It is giving me correct result for To Recipient field but for the CC field if I put "contains" in the condition, it is giving me correct result but it is not working properly for the "Dose not contains" condition. And I need to put "Dose not contains" condition to get the expected result.

If anyone can help me for this issue, it will solve my problem.

    Thanks in advance.
