Auto generate serial numbers on purchase receive in warehouse mobile app

Hi,

I am trying to auto generate serial numbers on purchase receive in warehouse mobile app but so far unsuccessful. Mobile app seems to auto generate batch numbers though. I am ofcourse using tracking number groups for batch and serial (and assigned to a batch-serial tracked product). Any pointers on how to get the auto serial generation will be a great help. Thanks.

May I know the auto serial number group you use? how you set up this?

using serial number group, it should allow to auto generate on receipt transaction, ensure you have on physical update checkbox selected and suggest

It appears that I can't attach a screen shot so listing the setup:

General tab > Date, reference no., only for inventory transactions, on physical update fields are enabled.

Per qty. has '1'

Activation > Purchase activation and inventory activation are enabled.

and the number tracking group is duly assigned to the released product.

the manual option is disabled, right? if so, the serial number should be auto created when you receive the purchase order.

how about the mobile device menu setup?

It doesn't seem to work whatever variation we do to the config. Customer decided not to use auto serial generation logic so not an issue anymore.

HI Asad M,

Auto serial number registration works with below tracking number group configuration along with mobile device.

Serial numbers should be auto generated along with inventory transaction post which serial number is shown in the mobile device.
