Close Income Statement - Batch Journal

Hi,

New to BC and little support.

I have closed the accounting periods.

I am trying to post the journal bath "close income statement" to retained earnings.

When I test post the journal it stating that the G/L codes require some of our global dimensions.   These are balances and shouldn't need / require a dim.  Is there a specific batch that should be selected to do this?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You get this message because your G/L Account 30110 is setup that any transactions posted to it require the Funding Source Dimension. You can either:

    1. Change the set up so it doesn't have this requirement, post the journal, and then add the set up back.

If you go to the Chart of Accounts, select this G/L Account, and then click on Account -> Dimensions - Single you will see the setup in there.

You will see something like the below, delete this line to remove the restriction

    2. When you run the Close Income Statement batch job, select Close by Dimension and select Funding Source in there. This will create closing entries that include the funding source dimension.
