I want to reset the "Salutation" and "Nick Name" fields in Contact form from required to optional.

How to achieve this goal?

Thanks,

    Hi..

There are multiple ways to make fields required to optional.

    1. You can make field optional from entity customization, open required field, and change field requirement = Optional

    2. Another option is Business Rule,

based on certain conditions if you want to change field requirement, then you can do using business rule.

    3. Third option is JavaScript code, you can put java script code on form load and using code you can set field requirement.

    Xrm.Page.getAttribute(arg).setRequiredLevel(requirementLevel)

    Hi,

Open any contact record, click on (...)  on the right most and select Form option from drop down, it will open form for you, now double click on the field ->Details->Edit and change requirement level to option, Save and then publish.

    Thanks

    Hi Hao Wu,

    The easiest way:

Go to Contact Form, form editor

Then go to the field, double click or edit

Go to the Tab detail and edit the field

Change the requirement setting from required to business recommended or optional up to you.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.
