Hello Experts,

I have installed Business central 21 on premises and able to connect the application. But there is error while trying Symbol Download in VS Code. What are the settings needs to be checked in Business Central Administration shell, which can be caused the symbol downloads error?

It would be greatly appreciated for sharing Business Central Administration power shell commands to check the settings related to development / customization.

Hi Mohana,

See the below screen shot for the error when I am running the Powershell cmdlet. The current local user is already having administrator power.

Your image is not visible, also check if you defined the Port no. in your launch.json file.

right click on Admin Shell and use run as administrator.

Hi, I can see the "DeveloperServicesEnabled" as "False" in the Adminstrator Shell. Does this impact Symbol Download?

I tried to Set "DeveloperServicesEnabled" as "True" but it showing the below.

Can you check the user you are trying to run this activity has Admin rights?

Hi Ranjith E S,

Make sure you have enabled Developer Service Endpoint in Business Central Administration..

In the Development Tab

After that kindly restart Business Central Services Manually.

Issue is solved. Enabled Developer Service using the cmdlet Set-NAVServerConfiguration -ServerInstance BC210 -KeyName DeveloperServicesEnabled -KeyValue True -ApplyTo ConfigFile
