Missing sales and contacts data

Hi

I'm testing Dynamics CRM and I've just imported accounts and contacts data.

I can see the imported information but it does not show up for other users.

Other user are assigned the admin role, I'd expect them to see this information also.

Is there anything else I missing here? Thanks.

It sounds like the default view is my records, e.g my accounts.  The reason you can see them is because you are the owner of those records

Your users can either change the view to active accounts/contacts

Or you could change the default system view to active accounts, active contacts

    Hi Slee,

When you import Data you are required to assign the owner of the record. By default the field contains the name of the person who is importing it.

When you try to view the Records by default the view which opens is My Active Accounts or My Active Contacts. Please ask your users to select the view which says Active Accounts or Active Contacts.

These view contains all records irrespective of the owner. Although these view contains all records users accessibility based on Roles are enforced. Since all your users have Administrator Role they will be able to see all records which were imported.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

Thank you for the quick responses.

As advised, it turns out to simply be the selected view. By default, the view will use "My Active Accounts" or "My Active Contacts".

You'll need to select the view which says "Active Accounts" or "Active Contacts".
