Barcode Fonts

Hi All,

I am in the process of adding a barcode to our sales order documents so they can be scanned by our shipping software to eliminate the manual entry of the SOP Number and am curious if anyone has recommendations about what type of barcode is best for this. I am currently using a Code 39 barcode and am wondering if there might be a better option.

Thanks,

Kirk

    Hi Nataraj,

Thank you for your prompt reply. What I was hoping is that someone might be able provide some suggestions as to what fonts they have used to print the entire SOP number (Numbers, Letters, and a dash) on their sales orders. I have been using a Code 39 font and have yet to get a scannable barcode to print. I have verified that the scanner supports the font and still can't get it to work.

My calculated field for the barcode number in report writer is currently "*"#STRIP)SOP_Document_HDR_TEMP.SOP Number)#"*"

    Kirk,

Code 39 will works for your requirement. I think something is missing in your Calculated field "*"#STRIP)SOP_Document_HDR_TEMP.SOP Number)#"*".

The Calculated Field result should be as "*"#STRIP(SOP_Document_HDR_TEMP.SOP Number)#"*"

Please have a look on the below links and correct your issues.
