Difference between inventory and bin contents

Hello community,

I am trying to find a solution for the differences that I have between the quantity in inventory and quantity in bins for one specific item. We use directed put-away and pick on our locations and for this specific item we also use different unit of measures. The system show this:

Quantity on inventory from item card:
//
Bin contents
//

And this is the units of measure for that item
//

As this item is not in use anymore, I want to get rid of this quantity in inventory and, if possible, delete the item (this item is already replaced by other with almost the same item n°).
I already tried warehouse and item journals or warehosue physical inv. journals but nothing works as expected. Any clue of what can I do to solve this? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Guillermo

    Yes, unfortunately I sitll have this issue after this two step process. I was trying to fix this on a standard way but it seems we need to do some development.
    I'm 99% sure this was caused by a wrong setup on the Items units of measure because we don't have customizations that changes quantities.

    Thanks a lot for your reply Ben

    With Directed Put-Away and Pick turned on, the inventory adjustment is a two-phase process.  You first make your adjustment in the Warehouse Item Journal, then you go to the Item Journal and "Calculate Warehouse Adjustments".  The system should populate the Item Journal with the entries sitting in the Adjustment Bin defined for the Location.  Once you post the adjustments your Quantity on Hand should match your Warehouse Entries Quantity.

    If you have a difference after running this process, you're going to need a developer to look into this and potentially write a correction process.  You would also want to analyze your process for customizations that caused the difference.
