Hi Experts,

You expert help and suggestions are required to fix the below issue.

User has registered the line item and then removed line from PO.

Item status is registered in inventory transactions and it has been sold and invoiced in sales order. Now user wants to post product receipt for the registered quantity and invoice the PO.

Kindly advice how to deal with the above situation and how to prevent this from happening in near future.

Application D365 F&O (Cloud), version 10.0.25. (10.0.1149.40)

    Hi Amit & Humphrey,

Firstly thank you for your responses.

I will surely look into permissions, and as suggested will enable database log but little bit concerned about bloating DB as it is a transaction table.

Secondly we took help of Microsoft in restoring the line.

    Hi Zubair,

Agree with Amith, to enable database log is a possible workaround to restore these records.

Also you can check purchase order confirmation journal. If the PO line was deleted after any PO confirmation, that line should exist in confirmation journal.

You need consider to customize if this scenario often happens, e.g. to confirm PO once user initially saved that PO.

you can limit by changing the Permission of the specific user or check the below thread for other options available. The other way around enable the database log so you can restore deleted rows, but since its a transactions table, it will bloat your database.
