Approval Email to Sender for General Journal Approval Workflow

Is there functionality with the General Journal Approval Workflow to have an email sent to the send when the General Journal batch is approved? Currently users (senders) are receiving email notifications when there is a rejection, but I cannot get it to notify the sender when it's approved. I have tried just about everything but either I'm missing something, or this is just not possible (but should be).

    You can send the approved email to the sender by adding the below response.

    Unfortunately, I have tried that, but no email is getting to the sender that the journal batch is approved. I have ensured that the sender is set up to receive approval emails in the Notification Setup as well. 

    Currently the workflow is set up to post the batch once approved. Could that action be preventing the email from getting sent to the sender?

    I would check the Sent Notification Entries Page and see if a notification is being created. After, I would check the Email Outbox and Sent Emails pages and see if there's anything there.

    I did check that...nothing in the Outbox, nothing in the Sent Emails, nothing in the Sent Notification Entries for the approval email notification to sender. We can see the emails to the approver but nothing going to the sender notifying them that the batch was approved.

    Please check the 'Job Queue Log Entries' page with the filter 'Object ID to Run' to '1509' and check if there is any error message.

    Thank you! I have checked the Job Queue Log Entries and there are no errors. The 1509 job queue is running successfully. All users have a notification setup to include notification type Approval as well via email and instantly.

    you could test by add a response by sending the approval notification to a random user who has been set up on the approval user setup if the notification email goes through. It might be caused due to a missing setup or email setup related.

    I tried to put Create a notification for <Sender> as you suggested. But there is no this choice in the workflow steps.  The following is what available, can you advise how you create this step?

    You can Add response to "Create Notification" when the General Journal Batch is Approved.
